Finding the Best ED Drug

Though only ten percent of men between 40 and 70 have reported absolute impotence (inability to generate erections), almost half have had it to a certain degree or have faced difficulties in maintaining their erections during sexual performance.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

HAPPY-COUPLEErectile dysfunctions may be caused by anything from severe health issues to mind psychological problems. Reactions to environments, loss of intimacy or interest in relationship and even stress levels may lead to a restriction of blood-flow to the penis. On the other hand, diabetes, heart disease and obesity may have similar effects.

Low Testosterone Levels and Erectile Dysfunction

Several bodily issues may cause a dip in testosterone levels, which in turn lowers the libido (sex drive) resulting into an inability to have an erection. As opposed to the more direct issues listed above, a low libido may require to deal with the psychological and physical reasons you feel less interested in sex before ED medications can have an effect on you.

ED medications facilitate the natural erectile process; they do not emulate an alternative to it. In order for the drugs to work, you need to be somewhat aroused or interested in engaging in intercourse in the first place.

Taking an Erectile Dysfunction drug is highly efficient in the vast majority of men. ED drugs enable the dilation of arteries and restriction of veins necessary to have and maintain an erection.

They all work in a relatively similar manner but each drug has its individualities that may have different effects depending on the root of your problem and your natural body response to the chemical.

Viagra is the most commonly used and prescribed drug on the market. It is arguably the best. Upon being diagnosed with ED, it may be the first drug your doctor will prescribe. It has been on the market for the longest so all side-effects and adverse reactions have been observed. This may then be the safest drug, as you can expect no surprises. The drug has been altered over the years to reduce the amount of side-effects observed to virtually none, though there is still the change of developing heart problems in the long run.

Viagra lasts about 4 hours. It has commonly been reported to lead to blue vision, though the issue usually lasts under an hour. Viagra does not work if taken after meals.

Like Viagra, Levitra does not work if taken after meals. Its side effects include nausea and face-flushing. The results last about 5 hours, or 60 minutes more than Viagra. Though it is relatively new in comparison to the latter, it is almost as effective.

This drug would be the most recommended were in not for its likelihood to have side effects (nausea, joint pains, headaches). Its results last up to over a period of 4 days and 3 nights and does not, unlike Levitra and Viagra, require planning. Its long-lasting effects mean you need not be on the verge of intercourse to take it, and neither does it react to food, so works just as efficiently after a meal.

Finding the best ED drug will depend on your personal needs and desires. Consult with your doctor if you need further guidance.
